Good morning, Ian Bazalgette Community.
This week will continue with above-freezing temperatures, but expect colder weather and snow as the week comes to an end. Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for changing conditions and has an alternative plan in case their school bus to Ian Bazalgette is affected by the weather. Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. every day of the week.
Please see this week's important reminders and the School Newsletter.
Student Illness
As is typical in early January, we are seeing an increase in student and staff absences due to illnesses across many of our schools. We would like to remind everyone of health measures they can take to reduce transmission of flu, Covid-19 variants, and RSV:
- If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them at home.
- Continue to wash hands frequently and cover coughs and sneezes.
- Students and staff can continue to make their own decision regarding masking.
We continue to follow the guidance and direction provided by Alberta Education and AHS.
School Fees
School fees for Term 1/Semester 1 option/complementary course fees have been applied to the students accounts in MyCBE.
Please pay now. Please note fee waivers do not apply to school complementary course fees.
More information about school fees can be found How to Pay Fees Through Your MyCBE Account
Report Cards
Please note, due to the nearly one month disruption caused by the Alberta Teachers Strike, Report Cards will be made viewable February 24th, slightly after the end of semester one. This is to ensure students have had enough time to cover the essential materials offerred during semester one.
