School Fees

Final Overdue Fee Notices have been prepared and will be sent out through Canada Post, Tuesday, April 30. We ask all families still owing fees to clear up all outstanding fees* on or before June 21, 2024.

All unpaid school fee accounts are reviewed online by the Calgary Board of Education and sent to collections. Once this process is in motion, the school has no further say in the outcome. All applicable fees are available to view and pay online through your MyCBE Account. Please review your account and submit payment accordingly. If you have yet to create a MyCBE Account, please go to the CBE Website's main page, scroll down to to where you will see the heading MyCBE - Register for services, pay fees, view academic information & book school conferences. Payments may also be made using credit card or debit.  Receipts will be available immediately when paying online through your  MyCBE Account. Other options for payment may be made in person at the school office using POS (Point of Sale Machince). If paying by cash, please send the correct amount, as we do not have the ability to provide change. If paying by cheque ensure your child’s full name & homeroom are printed clearly on the front of your cheque. Make the cheque payable to:  Ian Bazalgette School.

*Note: Fee Waivers do not cover non-curricular goods & services, field trips, extra-curricular/co-curricular activities, or option course user fees.

Families that would like to set up a longer-term fee payment plan are encouraged to contact our Main Office (slditlof@cbe.ab.ca).

Reminder | Grade 6 Provincial Achievement Tests 2023/24 School Year

Alberta Education has announced that Grade 6 English language arts and literature (ELAL) and mathematics provincial achievement tests will not be administered in the 2023/2024 school year.

Alberta Education will instead offer field testing between April and June 2024. These optional field tests will be on Vretta and will help inform the development of future PATs for Grade 6 English language arts and literature and mathematics that align with new curriculum in these subjects.

It is important to note that Science 6 and Social Studies 6 PATs will still be administered using Vretta for all Grade 6 CBE students in June 2024. FLA 6 PATs will also continue to be administered for those not piloting new curriculum.

All Grade 9 PATs will also continue to be administered using Vretta in May/June of 2024.
