Jan. 15-19 | Weather, Report Cards, Open Houses, Athletics, IPPs, Webinar
Good afternoon, Ian Bazalgette Community.
Please see this week's important reminders and the School Newsletter.
Weather
This week, and weekend, definitely showed that we must always be prepared for weather in Calgary. It is important to note that winter weather is most often coldest during the months of January and February. Be Prepared for the Changing Weather Conditions. Calgary’s weather can include snow, cold temperatures, and wind chill, that make getting to and from school challenging. Families are reminded to prepare and take extra caution during the winter months and periods of extreme weather.
Student Illness
Since early Decemeber, we have seen a spike in student and staff absences due to illness across many of our schools. We would like to remind everyone of health measures they can take to reduce transmission of flu, Covid-19 variants, and RSV:
- If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them at home.
- Continue to wash hands frequently and cover coughs and sneezes.
- Students and staff can continue to make their own decision regarding masking.
We continue to follow the guidance and direction provided by Alberta Education and AHS.
Report Cards
Staff are busy entering Report Card indicators and comments this week. Report Cards will be viewable January 30 at the end of semester one.
