A three (3) day week of learning ahead as the annual Calgary Teachers Convention takes place on February 12-13, 2026. During teachers convention, the school is closed and there are no classes for students.

Now is a good time to replenish students' school supplies (pencils, erasers, pens etc.)

*Note: Only students in grades one to six are given supplies by the school, as is customary in elementary grades.

Please see this week's important reminders and the School Newsletter.

Personal Mobile Devices

Personal mobile devices include any device that can be used to communicate with or access the internet, such as a cell phone, tablet, gaming device, laptop or smartwatch. This also includes devices capable of communicating with a mobile device such as headphones and bluetooth devices (e.g. earbuds and speakers.)

These rules apply to all students, with exceptions for students using devices for health and medical needs, to support specialized learning needs and for educational purposes.

  • CBE will block student access to known social media platforms on school networks and school devices for all grade levels.
  • K-9 Students: will not be permitted to use personal mobile devices during the school day. Student devices brought to school must be out of sight and either powered off or set to silent. They should be left in backpacks, lockers or areas designated by teachers or better yet - simply left at home.
  • Grade 10-12 Students: personal mobile devices are not allowed during class time unless teachers allow it for specific learning tasks. Personal mobile devices should be silenced or turned off and stowed away in a bag, backpack, locker, or in a designated area as directed by teachers.

If a student is found to be using a personal mobile device in class without permission from the teacher, the CBE will work with the student to ensure the rules are understood following a progressive discipline policy. In rare cases, if the student does not respond to interventions, the student may have their personal mobile device(s) banned.

Psychological Services

We are happy to report that our school has been assigned a few Psychological Services for Semester #2. We will have a Psychologist on site two days a week to assist informally with reviewing supports for students. Formal consults with the Psychologist, for counselling, will occur through formal referrals and with direct consent of parents/guardians.

Report Cards

Report Cards will be made viewable February 24.

We remain a closed campus at lunchtime. We want to remind families that students need to bring their lunch or eat the lunches provided by school. We are not able to provide access to microwaves for student use. As a reminder, we are not able to receive Skip the Dishes, Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc. in the main office. The driver will be asked to return the delivery to the restaurant.
