Good afternoon, Ian Bazalgette Community,

The weather will turn colder this week, returning to more seasonal temperatures. Please ensure students are dressed appropriately for outdoor conditions.

As we move into second semester, we kindly remind families to replenish students’ school supplies (pencils, erasers, pens, etc.).
Please note: Only students in Grades 1–6 are provided with school supplies.

Below are this week’s important reminders and updates from the school newsletter.

Lunch | School Supervision

The local community centre and strip mall are open to students during lunch hours, as the school supports junior high students in developing increased independence and responsibility. Please note that there is no staff supervision at these locations.

Families are encouraged to have conversations with students about staying aware of their surroundings and making responsible choices when in public spaces.

Next Year School Planning

Planning Not to Return (2026–2027)
Please inform the school if your child will not be returning to Ian Bazalgette for the 2026–2027 school year.
(This does not apply to current Grade 9 students.)

Science Program Registration
Students currently enrolled in the Science Program at Ian Bazalgette will be automatically re-enrolled for next year. Families do not need to submit an Expression of Interest through SchoolEngage.

School Fees

Semester 2 option and complementary course fees have now been applied to student accounts in MyCBE.

  • Fees are now payable
  • Fee waivers do not apply to complementary course fees
